Names of God
Yahweh Mekaddesh יהוה מקדשכם
The Lord who sanctifies
The Lord my sanctification
The Lord who sanctifies you
In the name Yahweh Mekaddesh (Hebrew meqadischkem) the Hebrew word Kadosh is included which means "holy."
Jesus Christ is the Holy One of God!
The Father gives every one who accepts HIM as Lord and Saviour, His Holy Spirit.
So that we as His children - in awe, dependence and new freedom - under the guidance of His good Spirit - are able to live a holy life in this world and become more like Him day by day.
In the heart at all times connected to HIM, the believer lives in ongoing inner worship and growing knowledge of God, in sanctifying intimate communion with Him in holiness.
Consecrate (Sanctify) yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep my statutes and do them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
...that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you.
For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate (sanctify) yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy.
And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!"
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
...for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work (to act) for his good pleasure.
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling...
I appeal (beseech) to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship (your rational service).
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!
And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
