The First and the Last
The Greek Alpha and Omega corresponds to the Hebrew Aleph and Tav, meaning "A to Z" in our language.
Alpha and Omega (Α and Ω), the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet, are a symbol of the beginning and the end. Thus, a symbol of the all-encompassing, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The First and the Last, the Author and Perfecter, the Origin of all existence.
Jesus is the fulfillment of all Scripture, the Word of God become flesh. He, the Lamb of God, is the key to God’s plan of our salvation - the start and the finish.
All who worship HIM alone and trust Him completely, recognize the One who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is permanent sanctification and acts resistant proportion of HIS glory, eternal life from one eon to another, from age to age, for ever and ever!
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen."
On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son."
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star." The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
